Stamping Process - The stamping process generated 900 lbs. of
Mixed Solvents hazardous waste during 1998.
5.2.1.1. Mixed Solvents - A majority of the waste is generated from
replacing used lubricating oil which becomes contaminated
with dirt and metal particles during the stamping process.
Some amount of acetone and isopropyl alcohol (IPA),
(used for cleaning surfaces, contamination testing, and
cleaning measuring equipment), is also included in this
waste stream.
5.2.2. Degreasing Process — The degreasing process generated 2,300
lbs. of Used Ensolv (Dibromopropane) hazardous waste during
1998.
