Two
co -located soil samples will be collected to check laboratory precision, one laboratory -
prepared travel blank will be utilized to detect cross -contamination of the VOC sample, and
an equipment blank will be prepared in the field to check, if necessary, for cross -
contamination resulting from inadequate decontamination procedures.
The site-specific health and safety plan will be reviewed in the field prior to initiation of field
work.
Field work will be conducted under the supervision of a California Registered Geologist
experienced with environmental investigations.
5.0. PROCEDURES
To complete the scope of work given above, the following tasks must be completed:
• Pre -Field Work Activities
• Soil Sampling
• Ground Water Sampling
• Laboratory Analysis of Selected Samples
• Report Preparation
5.1. PERMITTING AND PRE -FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Upon approval of this work plan by the DTSC, applicable site assessment permits will be obtained
from the PHS-EHD. Prior to mobilization, each soil probe location will be clearly marked and a
utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert. A site safety plan (SSP) prepared in
accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site
Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard
and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 1985) is in Appendix B of this work plan.
5.2. SOIL SAMPLING
As stated above, AGE intends to advance the soil borings utilizing a truck -mounted Geoprobe 5400
soil sampling machine in accessible areas and to advance soil borings utilizing a hand -auger in areas
Advanced Ge•Enviranmental, Inc
