Hazards not listed in this HASP but known to any subcontractor, or known to be associated with a subcontractor's services, <br /> must be identified and addressed during the daily field safety briefing (see Section 10.2.2) prior to beginning work <br /> operations.The SSO has the authority to halt any subcontractor operations,and to remove any subcontractor or subcontractor <br /> employee from the work area for failure to comply with established health and safety procedures or for operating in an unsafe <br /> manner. <br /> 3.6 ON-SITE PERSONNEL AND VISITORS <br /> All AGE and subcontractor personnel performing duties related to the Project at the Site are required to read and <br /> acknowledge their understanding of this HASP.All visitors(including third-party observers) to contractor-controlled areas of <br /> the work site (see Section 9.2) must also read and acknowledge their understanding of this HASP, and must conform with all <br /> HASP requirements.AGE reserves the right to suspend work activities as necessary to protect visitor safety or health if entry <br /> to controlled work areas(see Section 901)is required by individuals who do not meet HASP requirements. <br /> All personnel will abide by the requirements of this HASP and cooperate with site authorities to ensure a safe and healthful <br /> work site.Site personnel are required to report immediately any of the following to the SSO: <br /> • Accidents and injuries,no matter how minor, <br /> • Unexpected or uncontrolled releases of any hazardous substances, and any symptoms of exposure to a <br /> hazardous substance, <br /> • Any unsafe or malfunctioning equipment,and <br /> • Any changes in site conditions which may affect the health or safety of project personnel. <br /> 4.0 HEALTH AND SAFETY PROGRAMS <br /> Any person performing work on-site within an active work area, and any visitor requiring entry to active areas of the work <br /> site will meet the following requirements. <br /> 4.1 GENERAL HEALTH AND SAFETY TRAINING <br /> Personnel involved with grading or excavation activities will have completed health and safety training courses <br /> commensurate with their specific duties in compliance with the Contractors EPP. The training will include,but is not limited <br /> to: <br /> • Hazard communication, <br /> • Protective clothing, <br /> • Respiratory protection, <br /> • Hearing conservation, <br /> • Heat stress, <br /> • Decontamination, <br /> Prevention of slip,trip,and fall hazards,and <br /> • Safe lifting techniques and safe work practices. <br /> 4.2 SITE-SPECIFIC TRAINING <br /> All field personnel will be trained concerning the potential hazards at the site, and exposure prevention or control measures. <br /> Field personnel will be: <br /> • Instructed on the contents of this HASP, <br /> • Made aware of task-specific physical hazards and other hazards which may be encountered during site <br /> work(see Section 5.0), <br /> • Informed about the potential routes of exposure, protective clothing, precautionary measures, and <br /> symptoms or signs of chemical exposure,and heat stress, and <br /> • Made aware of fire prevention measures,fire extinguishment methods,and evacuation procedures. <br /> Page 16 <br />
