PHS-EHD SAMPLE #9/28/90RVE/ LAB # 32284 DELTA CONTAINER
DUMPSTER
This sample was of soil material which had been found in a
Delta Container dumpster. This material had a blue green
color and was sampled for metals in order to determine if an
illegal disposal of hazardous waste had occurred. The sample
result from this sample indicated a level of 34000 Parts per
million (ppm) copper, this exceeds the "Total threshold limit
concentration" (TTLC) of 2500 ppm for copper in soil and
therefore is a hazardous waste as defined in Article
11, "Criteria for Identification of Hazardous and Extremely
Hazardous Wastes" . This sample also indicated a lead level of
3040 ppm which also exceeds the 1000 ppm TTLC for this
substance as established in Section 66699. Both of these
levels define the soil found in the dumpster as a hazardous
waste as defined in Section 66699 "Persistent and
Bioaccumulative Toxic Substance", CCR, Title 22 .
2 .
