The ingredients of the <br /> water treatment chemicals are as follows: <br /> A. Sodium sulfite with cobalt used as catalyst . <br /> B . Hexametaphosphate . <br /> C . Phosphonate, polyacrylate, sodium hydroxide <br /> polyglycol and EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic <br /> acid) <br /> These products comply with local and federal EPA <br /> effluent restrictions . <br /> We will "blow down" the boiler once a day . This will <br /> produce 50=75 gallons of water that will have the <br /> following chemical composition: <br /> A. feed water hardness = 0 - 10 ppm <br /> B . Total dissolved solids = 3000 - 3500 ppm <br /> C . Sulfite residual = 20 - 40 ppm <br /> D . Orthophosphane residual = 10 - 40 ppm <br /> E . Hydroxide albalinity = 250 " 600 ppm <br /> F.
