Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> The contents of the following containers must have a hazardous waste determination made: <br /> (1) 5-Gallon container of unknown liquid was located near the waste water treatment area outside of the <br /> secondary containment. (1) 55-gallon container labeled as trash near acid filling area has waste paint <br /> contained inside. (2) 5-gallon containers of contaminated soil located next to the air compressor area <br /> along the east fence line. (1) 55-gallon poly container labeled as diesel has an unknown liquid located <br /> next to the maintenance shop. Make a hazardous waste determination according to CCR section <br /> 66262.11 and provide documentation for what determination was made. Submit by September 17, <br /> 2010. <br /> #11. Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> The sodium hypochlorite aboveground storage tank located in the waste water treatment area has a leak <br /> from a flange at the bottom of the tank spilling into the secondary containment. A filter located on the <br /> north west corner was also found to be leaking into the secondary containment and filters located on the <br /> south east corner were also leaking into the secondary containment. The acid filling area also has a <br /> large pool of spillage within the secondary containment. In the bleach bottling area large pools of liquid <br /> were located outside of the secondary containment in two different places. Maintain these areas to <br /> minimize the release of hazardous waste to the environment. Provide documentation for how these <br /> areas will be managed to minimize the release of hazardous waste. Submit by September 17, 2010. <br /> #14. Spill control equipment, and/or decontamination equipment not provided. <br /> Eyewash equipment was not found in the following areas: Trailer truck that stores the used oil and <br /> drained used oil filters located near the east side of the facility.
