• •
Pacific EcoRisk Environmental ntal Consulting & Testing
3. RESULTS
3.1 Effects of the Waste Sample 1IR200875 J A" on Fathead Minnows
The results of this test are summarized in Table 1. Briefly, there was 100% survival at the Lab
Control treatment and not less than 95% survival at all waste treatment levels. These results
indicate that the LC5o of this sample is greater than the "hazardous waste" toxicity threshold of
500 mg/L, and that this sample should not be considered "hazardous" with respect to fish
toxicity.
The test data and summary of statistics for this test are presented in Appendix B.
Table 1. Results of the hazardous waste toxicity evaluation of the "R200875 IA" sample.
Sample Treatment Level Mean % Survival
Lab Control 100
250 mg/L 95
400 mg/L 100
500 mg/L 100
600 mg/L 100
750 mg/L 100
4.SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
The results of this toxicity test indicate that the waste sample "R200875 IA" was not acutely
toxic to fathead minnows at the test treatment levels. The LC50 of this sample was >500 mg/L,
and the sample should thus not be considered a hazardous waste with respect to fish toxicity.
4.1 QA/QC Summary
Test Conditions- Test conditions (pH, D.O., temperature, etc.) were all within acceptable limits
for the fathead minnow acute toxicity test. All analyses were performed according the laboratory
Standard Operating Procedures.
Negative Control - The biological responses for the test organisms at the Lab Control treatment
were within acceptable limits.
Page 3
