The following fire code violations were noted and <br /> must be corrected immediately: <br /> Fire Permits: <br /> Per the California Fire Code, the following permits must be obtained at the Fire Prevention <br /> Division, 345 North EI Dorado Street: <br /> 1. Hazardous Materials ($118.00 ) <br /> 2. Hot-Works Operation ($71.75 ) <br /> 3. Compressed Gas ($164.00 ) <br /> 4 Flammable and Combustible liquid storage and handling ($118.00) <br /> Inside Storage Area-North <br /> 1. Separate the sodium hypochlorite 20 feet from the hydrochloric acid. These two <br /> chemicals are not compatible with each other. California Fire Code (CFC) 8001.11.8 <br /> 2. Label all unmarked barrels and containers with their contents. All containers that are not <br /> empty must be labeled, including the oil barrels. CFC, 8001.7 <br /> 3. Secondary containment is required for the storage of barrels of oil. This containment <br /> must be a separate containment from the finished products. CFC, 7902.1.6 and 8001.7 <br /> 4. Transfer of chlorine gas from one-ton cylinders to "H" containers shall be conducted in <br /> an approved gas room. The following is the criteria for the required gas room: <br /> A. The gas room shall be separated from the remainder of the building by not less than <br /> a one-hour fire-resistive occupancy separation. <br /> B. The ventilation system for the gas room shall be designed to operate at a negative <br /> pressure in relation to the surrounding areas. <br /> C. The gas room shall have sprinklers installed.
