Catanyag <br /> ENViRuNMENT HEALTH <br /> October 3, 2002 PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Dear Dennis, <br /> On September 6, 2002,you visited our location and asked that all items needing <br /> attention or correction be put in writing in a certification of return to compliance <br /> and sent to your attention. Listed below are the items in violation as noted on your <br /> report and corrections that were made in order to establish compliance: <br /> # 13 66265.32 (A)(CCR) Internal communication or alarm system not provided. <br /> On September 24, a set of two-way radios was purchased for communication <br /> between the chemical room and thefront office.A procedure was established and <br /> reviewed with all personnel involved A copy of the procedure was placed in the <br /> chemical room near the radio, as well as in thefrom office near the other radia. <br /> #15 66265.32 (C)(CCR) Spill control equipment, and/or decontamination equipment <br /> not provided. <br /> On September 12, 2002, an eyewash station was ordered for the chemical room. <br /> It was received and mounted on the side wall on September 18, 2002. In addition, the <br /> absorbent material drum was labeled accordingly.All other spill control equipment <br /> was available and in compliance at the time of the visit. <br /> #19 25201 (A)(HSC) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a <br /> permit or authorization. <br /> 1) Two drums of Jem Strip waste-Drums picked up by Ramos Environmental <br /> on 9127102. (See Document#21928491 item B) <br /> 2) One drum of oiUwater mixture-Drum picked up by Ramos Environmental <br /> on 10/3/02. (See Document#21928504) <br /> 3) One drum of paint related waste-Drum picked up by Ramos <br /> Environmental on 9/27102. (See Document#21928490) <br /> 4) Two drums of sandblast waste-Both drums picked up by Ramos <br /> Environmental on 9127/02. (See Document#21928491 item A) <br /> 5) One drum of paint sludge-Drum picked up by Ramos Environmental on <br /> 9127102. (See Document#21928491 item B) <br /> 6) Seven drums of sandblast waste -Due to three of the drums being only <br /> partially full, we were able to consolidate to six drums. These drums were <br /> picked up by Ramos Environmental on 1013/02. (See Document#21928503) <br />
