Weber Ave.
Third Floor
Stockton, CA 95202-2708
29 July, 2005
Mr. Dennis Catanyag,
Accompanying this letter are 2 copies of the Lodi Metal Tech Contingency and
Response Plan. One is for your office as requested and one is for the State OES.
I have no idea who to contact at that office and hope you can assist. Additional
copies of this Plan have been delivered to the Lodi Police Dept., Lodi Fire Dept.
and Lodi Memorial Hospital.
Please review our plan and if deficiencies are found, we will correct them. We
have been working with a blank slate here as neither the Fire nor the Police
department had seen one of these plans before. I was hoping to use an existing
plan to help in the development of our. As it seems we are the first company to
provide such, we assume we are the only Lodi company in compliance with Title
22 Article 4.
Each Bay noted in the plan has its own 'area specific' Contingency and Response
plan plus a MSDS specific to that Bay. I am currently meeting with employees
from each Bay explaining the Plan and MSDS and going over the main
evacuation route plus options.
In response to specific notations of your inspection report:
#20: LMT has worked with EnvirServe to make sure all hazardous containers are
labeled and have the correct information on each label. A copy is included.
#21: We have initiated a barrel collection system for trash, hazardous and
universal waste. We no longer have 'shaker' lids, rather, each barrel has its own
solid lid and barrels are covered at all times.
