Route Manager / Senior Route Manager JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> Essential Functions: <br /> • Generally has no direct contact with physical hazardous waste activities. <br /> • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property of the district through <br /> inspections and preventive maintenance programs with other department managers. <br /> • Plans, distributes, monitors, and follows-up daily route assignments to ensure customers are <br /> serviced per company standards and agreements. <br /> • Manages the end-of-day check-in process, capturing and communicating key service, safety, and <br /> equipment issues <br /> • Conducts Root Cause Investigations for all injuries and incidents, ensuring consistent discipline <br /> and retraining. <br /> • Establishes and maintains a clean, safe work environment in compliance with <br /> Company/Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards <br /> • Provide training and presentations as needed in a positive and professional manner. <br /> • Ensure that environmental records are maintained in accordance with Federal and State <br /> regulation. <br /> • Updates and submits required reports in a timely manner. <br /> Training <br /> • SPCC plan and Spill Prevention/Response Training (initial &annual) <br /> • Hazard Communication Program (initial &annual) <br /> • Emergency Action Plan <br /> • DOT requirements and procedures(initial &annual) <br /> • Hazardous Materials/Waste Training; to include Hazardous Material Business Plan &Hazardous <br /> Waste Contingency Plan (initial &annual) <br /> • Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan(initial &annual) <br /> • Injury Illness&Prevention Program (initial &annual) <br /> • Energy Control Program (initial &annual) <br /> • First Aid/CPR training (initial &biannually) <br /> Education, Skills, and Qualifications: <br /> Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations in which <br /> coaching, routing assessments and leading employees were requirements of the role. Ability to <br /> occasionally exert physical effort in handling objects less than 30 pounds. <br />
