By January 19, 2012, submit to the EHD a copy of the signed off copy of the manifest or a copy of the exception report submitted to DTSC. REPEAT VIOLATION 404. A red plastic drain tub and a rolling metal drain pan were observed in the back shop filled with used oil without lids. Spent absorbent was observed mixed with reusable absorbent in an overfull green plastic bin marked for garbage only, with a partially open lid. According to the facility contacts, spent absorbent is supposed to be placed in 55 gallon drums in the hazardous waste storage area and the reusable absorbent is stored in repurposed plastic garbage bins. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. REPEAT VIOLATION 605. An empty covered spill pallet was observed unlabeled outside the back shop with oily liquid in the bottom. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" 2. name and address of generator 3. hazardous properties (flammable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) 4. physical state (liquid, solid) 5. composition (contents) 6. accumulation start date Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required information. The spill pallet was emptied at the time of inspection. REPEAT VIOLATION ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE.
