• • <br /> JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR HAZARDOUS WASTE & MATERIALS MANAGEMENT <br /> • #10 <br /> Applicable Positions: <br /> COATER/COIL LEAD SUPERVISOR (continued) <br /> • If needed: makes 35-day contact and files 45-day Manifest Exception Report; files Generator <br /> accumulation extension request <br /> • Responsible for showing that all waste materials that are moved, transferred, or loaded are <br /> marked, packaged, and classified properly. <br /> • Supervises receipt and distribution of supplier information on chemical hazards on incoming <br /> material <br /> • Maintains file of waste Manifests and Landfill Ban Information. <br /> • Seeks alternatives and reviews with Environmental Administration the adequacy of potential <br /> off-site disposal locations for waste shipments. <br /> • Completes and distributes company spill report form as needed. <br /> • Maintains complete inventory of plant spill response equipment and list of available qualified <br /> spill response contractors. <br /> • Maintains records of waste determinations and historical sample results at the facility. <br /> SKILLS EDUCATION OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: <br /> • High school and college education, or equivalent work experience. <br /> • Supervision capabilities, demonstrated by work experience in a supervisory capacity. <br /> • Effective communication skills. <br /> • Working knowledge of the wastes and hazards associated with chemicals used by <br /> employees. <br /> • General understanding of state and federal regulatory requirements of the facility for waste <br /> management. <br /> • Working knowledge of company Environmental Policy and procedures relative to the <br /> requirements for waste management. <br /> • Working knowledge of proper hazardous waste recognition, handling and collection <br /> procedures; and of spill and emergency equipment inventory, location, use and capability. <br /> • Detailed knowledge of correct response to spills and emergencies involving hazardous <br /> chemicals and waste. <br /> • Receives and participates in the HMIS training developed for the plant. <br /> 14 <br />
