UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK CLOSURE PROGRAM U-HAUL FACILITY#709-23 7701 TAM O'SHANTER STOCKTON,CALIFORNIA 1.0 INTRODUCTION This report summarizes the procedures and findings of an underground storage tank removal and closure program conducted at the U-Haul Facility#709-23 located at 7701 Tam O'Shanter in Stockton,California (Figure 1). The program was conducted on December 15 through 19, 1997 by a tank removal and closure team at the request of Amerco Real Estate Company/TJ-Haul International (Amerco/U-Haul). The tank removal and closure program team and each team members project responsibilities are shown in Table 1. Blaes Environmental was retained by Amerco/U-Haul in September 1997 to provide program management services for the soil sampling services as part of the underground storage tank closure program. Wayne Perry,Inc. (and subcontractor H.B. Covey)and Columbia Analytical Services,Inc. were contracted directly by Amerco/U-Haul. The following sections present the site background,details of the underground storage • tank closure program, and the results of the soil sampling investigation. 1
