U-Haul <br /> Facility Number 70q-)Z <br /> 54,�km, California <br /> HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> Page 4 <br /> 2.2 ON-SITE PROJECT SAFETY <br /> The Site Safety Officer (Juan Flores) and Project Supervisor (Jim Gonzales) are responsible for <br /> ensuring compliance with the safety procedures established for the performance of the work.. <br /> The Project Supervisor may modify work practices to meet the safety requirements. The Site <br /> Safety Officer has the primary responsibility in determining the modifications of any safety <br /> procedures. <br /> The Project Supervisor is responsible for the dissemination of the information contained in this <br /> plan to the HBC personnel assigned to the project, and to the responsible representative of each <br /> subcontractor firm working under HBC on the project. <br /> The Project Supervisor may also act as Site Safety Officer and will be responsible for ensuring <br /> the following items are adequately addressed: <br /> A. Safety Supplies and Equipment Inventory; <br /> B. Personnel Protective Equipment; <br /> C. Medical Surveillance Program/Physical Examinations; <br /> D. Training ProgramslHazard Communications; <br /> E. Accident/Incident Reporting Procedures; <br /> F. Decontamination and Contamination Reduction Procedures; <br /> G. Monitoring air to ensure against personnel over-exposure to hazardous substances and to <br /> determine changes in PPE and work practices; <br /> H. Perform and document daily safety inspections and take corrective action; and, <br /> The Site Safety Officer has the authority to suspend work at any time he or she determines that <br /> the provisions of the plan are inadequate to ensure worker safety. <br />
