Taylor St. i :'�-:1LT;i <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> The following is the procedure to be used in removal of a 1000 <br /> gallon Owens Corning fiberglass tank ball : <br /> A. Obtain permit from San Joaquin Health District. <br /> B. Obtain permit from Fire Marshall after Health District approval. <br /> C. Notify the following 48 hours prior to removal: <br /> 1. San Joaquin Health District. <br /> 2 , Fire Marshall. <br /> 3. California Water Labs. <br /> D. Dry ice tank, excavate tank, remove tank and set on site. <br /> Tank to be dry-iced at a rate of 15 lbs. per 1000 gallons of <br /> fuel capacity during removal and transport. <br /> E. California Water Labs, 1430 Carpenter Lane, 1-527-4050, to <br /> perform two each tests as required by San Jaoaquin Health <br /> District. Samples to be taken directly from the backhoe and <br /> placed in brass tubes. Testing to take place four feet below <br /> tank at location per Health District Inspector by a backhoe. <br /> Analytical results to be forwarded to Local Health District. <br /> F. Tank and piping to be triple-rinsed by Western Meter Service , <br /> 1-948-6124 , contact Jack. The following procedure to be <br /> used. Tank shall be empty, high pressure washed with deter- <br /> gent and hot water, suctioned out of tank. This procedure <br /> shall transpire three times, all contaminates shall be <br /> contained and delivered by a waste hauler, Refineries Servies, <br /> 1-892-6742. The waste shall be manifested to Patterson, CA. <br /> Manifest to be forwarded to San Joaquin Health District. <br /> G. Tank shall be shipped after decontaminated triple rinse to the <br /> owner's property site located in Storey County, in the State <br /> of Nevada. This has verbal approval with Nevada's Envirnomental <br /> Protection Agency, 1-702-885-5872 , contact Allen Biaggi. <br /> Tank shall be used in a nonpotable situation for water storage. <br /> Tank tracking record shall be sent back to San Joaquin Health <br /> District after final delivery of tank has taken place. <br /> This tank is empty at this time, it is being removed because it is <br /> no longer feasible in the County to store and dispense low usage fuel. <br /> Any questions concerning the above, contact this office. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> FJP/sb re inasco <br />
