Disconnect the suction , inlet , gauge and vent lines ; remove sections <br /> of connecting lines which are not to be used further. <br /> 8 . Cap or plug tank inlets , outlets and leaks , if any. <br /> 9 . Transport to area not accessible to public. <br /> ABANDONMENT IN PLACE <br /> When circumstances warrant , tank(s) may be abandoned in place and safe- <br /> guarded in a manner and with material approved by the Chief. . <br /> REQUIREMENTS FOR FILLING ABANDONED TANKS IN PLACE <br /> I <br /> 1 . Filling of tank shall be done under supervision of issuing authority. <br /> 2 . Remove all flammable or combustible s i e lin uid from the tank and from all <br /> connecting lines . <br /> 3 . Disconnect the suction, inlet , gauge and vent lines . <br /> 4 . Fill tank completely with slurry mix. <br /> i <br /> A. Slurry mix shall have a minimum of 1 3/4 sacks of cement per yard <br /> of total mix. <br /> B . Amount of mix shall be equal to the displacement of tank as shown <br /> in following table . <br />
