This proposal <br /> presents the woz•kscope and cost estimate for assessing possible <br /> subsurface contamination at the Chase Chevrolet facility in <br /> Stockton, where a total of five underground ( u/g ) gasoline and <br /> bulk motor oil tanks have been removed (Figure 1 ) . <br /> 1. Prepare and submit a preliminary report and permits to San <br /> Joaquin Public Health Services for review and approval. <br /> 2. Drill two 20 foot deep soil borings and two 45 foot deep <br /> borings to be completed as two inch diameter, monitoring <br /> wells (Site A Figure 2) . Collect soil samples at five foot <br /> intervals from each of these holes. Backfill the soil <br /> borings with neat cement. <br /> 3. Drill one 45 foot deep two inch diameter, monitoring well and <br /> collect soil. samples at five foot intervals (Site B Fioure <br /> 3) . Complete the three wells as presented in Figure 4 . <br /> 4. Develop monitoring wells using a pneumatic pump and collect <br /> water samples. <br /> 5. Place soil and water samples in a refrigerated container for <br /> shipment to a California certified laboratory under chain- <br /> of-custody protocol. Selected soil samples and water samples <br /> will be analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and <br /> xylenes (BTEX ) , total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline <br /> (TPHG) , and oil and grease (O&G) . <br /> , •0':=.�!!510�ET .:C.%dC?}1 ' ' ^-S.i7 ...%; y•'•?1.E0% <br />
