Temporary Closure. <br /> This <br /> lies to <br /> has ceased buthwheron pe the owner or ope atormpropoorse storage <br /> rete nwthe abililitry tto <br /> use the underground storage tank within 2 years for the storage of hazardous <br /> substances. <br /> ant(b) The owner or topAN r( derator shall compl with all of the followm' ; p <br /> o the provisionsolidss of or�Chaptees r 6.5� Division o20 f the be removed and hanHealth and <br /> Safety Code. <br /> (2) If the underground storage tank contained a hazardous substance that <br /> could produce flammable�vapors at standard temperature and pressure,then <br /> the underground storage tank,either in part or as a whole,shall be pur ed of <br /> the flammable vapors to levels that would preclude an explosion or such lower <br /> levels as may be required by the local agency. <br /> (3) The undergrod storage tank may be filled with a noncorrosive liquid <br /> that is not a hazardous substance.This liquid must be tested and results submit- <br /> ted to the local agency pnor to its being removed from the underground <br /> storage tank at the end of the temporary closure period. <br /> (4) Except for required venting,all fill and access locations and piping shall <br /> be sealed utilizing locked caps or concrete <br /> frplugs. <br /> with the <br /> usesof the undergrounPower service d storagbe gtannkk except if the Pumps <br /> servicesatsome other <br /> equipment which is not being closed. <br /> (c)The monitoring required pursuant to the permit may be modified or <br /> eliminated during the temporary closure period by the local agency.The local <br /> agency shall consider, in making the above decision, the need to maintain <br /> monitoring in order to detect unauthorized releases that map have occurred <br /> during the time the underground storage tank was used but that have not yet <br /> reached the monitoring locations and been detected. <br /> (d) The underground storage tank shall be inspected by the owner or opera- <br /> tor at least once every 3 months to assure that the temporary closure actions <br /> are still in plane.
