STOCKTON SERVICE CENTER
MONITORING PLAN
I. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK INFORMATION:
The Stockton Service Center presently operates 4 double-walled Underground
Storage Tanks; 2 containing fuel, 1 storing waste motor oils, and 1 storing
Hydraulic oil as described below:
A. Construction: Double-Walled Steel Clad with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic.
Capacity: 10,000 Gallons, Unleaded Gasoline.
B. Construction: Double-Walled Steel Clad with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic.
Capacity: 10,000 Gallons, Diesel Fuel.
C. Construction: Double-Walled Steel Clad with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic.
Capacity: 1 ,000 Gallons, Waste Lubrication Oil.
D. Construction: Double-Walled Steel Clad with Fiberglass Reinforce Plastic.
Capacity: 1 ,000 Gallons, Hydraulic Oil. (Product)
ll. UNDERGROUND TANK MONITORING REQUIREMENTS:
Double-Walled tanks and their associated piping systems require the installation of
a continuous leak detection monitoring device. Frequent circuit testing will be
performed to confirm the operational status of the equipment.
III. MONITORING DOUBLE-WALLED TANKS:
The tanks in operation at the Stockton Service Center are equipped with three
LEAK ALERT SYSTEMS A Universal Sensor Devices MODEL LA-04, for the waste
and hydraulic oil ; a Ronan Unit, MODEL X76 and a Veeder Root TLS-250 for
the fuel tanks. These are multi-channel audible/visual systems, which utilize a
moisture sensitive probe inserted into the annular space (between the inner and
outer walls) of each tank to detect leaks. Each probe is connected to a control
panel consisting of 4 GREEN Channel Indicator lights (MODEL LA-04 and X76)
and 4 Indicator Lights positioned directly below each Channel. The TLS-250
provides the garage with daily fuel usage data and a tank tightness test.
-2-
