V. LEAK DETECTION RESPONSE PLAN: (CONTINUATION) <br /> c. Notify local permitting agency, by telephone, and inform them of <br /> actions taken, Follow up with a letter within 5 days. <br /> d. Coordinate with the Environmental Services Department to schedule <br /> preliminary investigation of the tank to determine the extent of the <br /> damage and what remedial action should be taken, i.e., repair or <br /> closure. <br /> e. Arrange for an alternate waste oil storage to meet operational needs, <br /> i.e., at another company facility, an off-site commercial service <br /> station, install an above ground portable storage tank, etc. <br /> Coordinate arrangements with the Corporate Environmental <br /> Consultant to insure compliance with jurisdictional regulatory <br /> agencies. <br /> VI. PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION AND MAINTENANCE: <br /> As a "tank owner", it is our responsibility to insure that the Underground Storage <br /> Tank Compliance Program is administered effectively, that facility records are <br /> maintained properly, and are accessible for review or audit by authorized agencies. <br /> A. All system circuit checks, alarm conditions, and service calls will be <br /> documented on the Circuit Test/Alarm Log. Records will be maintained at <br /> the facility for a period of 3 years. <br /> B. Insure that employees responsible for tank operation/leak response are <br /> thoroughly familiar with, and understand the contents of this manual. <br /> C. Familiarize responsible employees with operation, maintenance and service <br /> requirements of the tank monitoring systems. <br /> 1 . The Company recommends that monitoring devices be serviced annually <br /> to maintain equipment accuracy and reliability. <br /> 2. Should either of the monitoring devices malfunction, fail to operate, or <br /> otherwise operate abnormally, contact your service representative to <br /> initiate remedial action. <br /> D.
