The employee may be terminated if he does not
improve his/her performance while on probation, or
violates another company safety policy within twelve
months.
COMMUNICATION OF SAFETY AND HEALTH MATTERS (8 CCR 3203 (a) (3) )
The elements of the FHEMCO IIPP and all aspects of its safety and
health program shall be communicated in a readily understandable
manner to all employees.
* Each employee will be given a copy of the IIPP and should any
questions arise it is the responsibility of the employee to
ask his superintendant to clarify the point. Should
additional clarification be needed, the employee may formally
submit his question in writing to any one of the Safety
Committee members who will review the question and respond in
writing to the employee.
* Formal Safety Meetings will be conducted every Friday at
4 : OOp.m. in the conference room for the construction dept. .
The Construction superintendant will conduct each meeting.
The Service Department will have Formal Safety Meetings
every other Tuesday at 4 : OOp.m. . These meetings are to
include the Technicians out of town by teleconferencing.
It is the policy of FHEMCO to encourage all employees to report
hazards existing at their worksite to their supervisors or the
Responsible Person so that corrective action can be taken in a
timely manner.
FHEMCO insists on a safe and healthy work environment for its
employees. The Supervisors and Safety Committee can only establish
guidelines to follow but are not able to identify every hazard on
a job. Employee participation is crucial to the success of the
completeness and implementation of an IIPP. The Safety Committee
strongly encourages each and every employee to look for any
potential hazards whether at a jobsite or in the yard and to bring
to the attention of your supervisor these potential hazards and
recommendations as to how to reduce the risk of injury. Please
take the time to formalize your concerns and recommendations in
writing (memo form) and place it in the suggestion box located in
the CORE area. These will be collected and given to the Safety
Committee for review.
Employees who report such conditions will not be disciplined nor
will they suffer any reprisals due to their actions.
Employees shall be kept informed of the requirements of the FHEMCO
IIPP through the use of -
5
