, <br /> * Training Programs <br /> When an employee is hired he/she will go through the <br /> formal training program established by FHEMCO both on <br /> site and at job locations. This training will be <br /> conducted by the Training Committee depending on the <br /> department for whom the employee will be working. <br /> * Safety Meetings <br /> As outlined above safety meetings will be held accord- <br /> ingly. Additional tailgate safety meetings will be <br /> conducted by the foreman at each job location at least <br /> once a week. <br /> * Postings on the Safety Bulletin Board of new regulations. <br /> As the Safety Committee receives new regulations these <br /> will be forwarded on to the Department heads who are <br /> members of the Safety Committee for distribution. <br /> * Memorandums explaining the regulations <br /> These memorandums will be presented by the safety <br /> committee quarterly under normal circumstances and <br /> periodically throughout the year as needed. <br /> * A current copy of the CAL/OSHA booklet <br /> Whenever an update is made by Cal/Osha and received <br /> by FHEMCO copies will be distributed by the Safety <br /> Committee to each employee. <br /> * Updates to the IIPP Manual <br /> Will be made quarterly through input by the employees <br /> and formalized in the decision making process at the <br /> safety committee meetings that are conducted quarterly. <br /> IDENTIFY AND EVALUATE WORKPLACE HAZARDS (8 CCR 3203 (a) (4) ) <br /> The goal of this IIPP is to identify and evaluate unsafe work <br /> conditions and practices so that accidents, injuries, and <br /> job-related illnesses are minimized, if not completely eliminated. <br /> To this end, FHEMCO has instituted the procedures described in this <br /> section of the IIPP. <br /> The principle approach to reducing accidents at FHEMCO is through <br /> periodic scheduled and unscheduled inspections. Inspections will <br /> be conducted as follows: <br /> The Foreman on each Project will assess the potential <br /> hazards at a jobsite upon arriving the first day. These <br /> areas will be identified with specific requests stated in <br /> writing and discussed with the General Contractor (if FHEMCO <br /> is not the General) .
