AEL f-z5 <br /> Page 7 <br /> 6.0 TAPE WITH RELEASE PAPER <br /> 6.1 Approved products. <br /> 6.1.1 Tapecoat CT 10/40W (for 10" and larger pipe). <br /> 6.1.2 Polyguard 634 (for 8" and smaller pipe). <br /> *6.2 When making a repair to the plastic coated pipe, it is normally not <br /> necessary to use a full encirclement wrap when using these high tack <br /> tapes. <br /> 6.3 The comments in the preceding paragraphs apply to tapes with release <br /> paper except for the following aspects: <br /> *6.3.1 Primer techniques <br /> For tape coated pipe it is not necessary to prime over the <br /> tape wrap. Prime only the metal pipe surface. Allow the <br /> primer to dry to at least a tacky consistency before applying <br /> # these tapes. 'Whenever possible use the primer specified by <br /> the manufacturer for the tape being used.
