Specification No . : R.GS0024-87 Part 11 - SPECIFIC CONDITIONS Section 6 - Temporary Facilities 6 . 5 Temporary Utility Services : 6 . 5. 1 The types of services required include , but not by way of limitation , water , gas , sewerage , surface drainage , electrical power , and telephones . Where possible and reasonable , connect to existing franchised utilities for required services and comply with service companies ' recommendations on materials and methods or engage service companies to install services . Locate and relocate services ( as necessary ) to minimize interference with construction operations . 6 . 6 Temporary Construction Facilities : 6 . 6 . 1 The types of temporary construction facilities required include , but not by way of limitation , water distribution , drainage , dewatering equipment , enclosure of work, heat , ventilation , electrical power distribution , lighting , hoisting facilities , stairs , and ladders . Provide facilities reasonably required to perform construction operations properly and adequately . 6 . 7 Security/Protection Provisions : 6 . 7 . 1 The types of temporary security and protection provisions required include , but not by way of limitation , fire protection , barricades , warning signs , and site enclosure fence , building enclosure / lockup , environmental protection , and similar provisions intended to minimize property losses , personal injuries , and claims for damages at project site . At earliest reasonable date , enclosure project site or portion thereof determined by Contractor to be sufficient to contain entire construction activity . Provide 6 feet high chain-link steel fence . 6 . 7 . 2 Building Enclosure and Lock: At earliest possible date , secure site against unauthorized entrance at times when personnel are not working . V1-2
