Specification No . : RGS0024-87 Part II - SPECIFIC CONDITIONS Section 7 - Products and Substitutions statements with the submittal to fully describe the product . 7 . 8 . 3 Work-Related Submittals : Contractor ' s submittal of ( and Engineer ' s acceptance of ) shop drawings , product data or samples which relate to work not complying with requirements of contract document , does not constitute an acceptable or valid request for a substitution nor approval thereof . 7 . 9 General product Requirements : 7 . 9 . 1 General : Provide products which comply with requirements and which are undamaged and unused at time of installation and which are complete with accessories , trim, finish , safety guards and other devices and details needed for complete installation and for intended use and effect . 7 . 9 . 1 . 1 Standard Products : Where available , provide standard products of types which have been produced and used previously and successfully on other projects and in similar applications . 7 . 9 . 1 . 2 Continued Availability : Where additional amounts of a product , by nature of its application , are likely to be needed by P . G . & E . at a later date for maintenance and repair or replacement work , provide a standard , domestically produced product which is likely to be available to P . G . & E . as such later date . 7 . 10 Nameplates : Except as otherwise indicated for required approval labels and operating data , do not permanently attach or imprint manufacturer ' s or producer ' s nameplates or trademarks on exposed surfaces of products which will be exposed to view either in occupied spaces or on exterior of the work. 7 . 10 . 1 Labels : Locate required labels and stamps on concealed surface or where required for observation after installation or an accessible surface which , in occupied spaces , is not conspicuous .
