Weber Ave., Third Floor Fax No.510-842-9585 Stockton, CA 95202 Re: Chevron Stations Inc. #200764 4747 West Lane, Stockton The items listed below are in response to the violations as stated on the Underground Tank Program Inspection Report dated 10/1/97 for the above referenced station. • Item #1, 2, 3: 1997 Business Plan, Chemical Inventory, Monitoring Procedures, Emergency Response Plan, Daily Monitoring Logs and Underground Storage Tank records and other supporting documents were kept in a binder labeled Retail Facility Compliance Workbook in the managers office. The binder and contents thereof were moved to the cashier area on 10/13. • Item #4: Enclosed are 1995, 1996, and 1997 Arm"Monitoring Certification Testing reports. • Item #5: Chevron obtained final approval 9/14/90 from San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Tish Reach, R.E.H.S. with respect to the tanks and CEI monitoring system which included continuous electronic line pressure monitors for all product piping prior to construction of the station 10/90. Enclosed are copies of the approved As-Built Drawings, APCD Authority to Construct Permit, letter from Robert H. Lee & Associates to Chevron dated 9/20/90 containing an itemized list of required agency permits to date, a copy of the final Environmental Health Permit to Operate granted by San Joaquin County. No alterations or modifications have been made to the tank and monitoring since construction. • Item #6: Chevron Maintenance Mechanic Rob Connor completed removal of the turbine sump piping boots on 10/14/97. • Item #7: The assistant station manager removed the tape on the CEI audible al lm speaker on 10/7/97 as witnessed by Rob Connor. • Item 48: Existing tank and piping systems are double wall fiberglass installed at time of construction. Initial tank and line tests are enclosed. • Item #9: Annual Monitoring Certifications tests for 1995, 1996, and 1997 are enclosed. Prior years have been sent to central records warehouse for permanent storage. Additional enclosures include copies of the 1994 ST-27 and ST-30 tests, Environmental Health Division Tank Repair/Retrofit application submitted to your agency dated 8/8/97 as required to replace the regular unleaded Ronan LS-3 sump probe.
