M.P.H., District Health Officer San Joaquin County <br /> Mary Anna Love San Joaquin County <br /> TO: INSTALLERS AND OWNERS OF NEW UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS <br /> The Environmental Health Division has established the following guidelines to assist <br /> you in the completion of your construction project. The guidelines specify the <br /> construction and monitoring details needed to complete our review of your underground <br /> storage tank system. <br /> 1 . SUBMITTAL OF PLANS <br /> a. Submit 4 complete sets of detailed drawings to the Environmental Health Division. <br /> One set will be retained by the department, <br /> b. Include equipment specification sheets and manufacturer's brochures <br /> describing operating and monitoring systems. <br /> c. Include detailed monitoring and response plans, <br /> 2. PLAN REVIEW AND OPERATING PERMIT FEES <br /> a. New facility plan review fee of $30.00 and operating permit application fee <br /> of $150.00 plus $50.00 per additional tank is due at time of plan submittal <br /> plus $56.00 per tank State surcharge. <br /> b. New installation of additional tank at existing facility is $30.00 plan review <br /> plus $50.00 per new tank permit fee plus State Surcharge. <br /> 3. PLAN REVIEW GUIDELINES <br /> a. The enclosed plan review sheet is provided for your information to assist you <br /> in interpreting our requirements for new tank systems. <br /> b. A letter will be sent to you in the event deficiencies are found in the tank plans <br /> c. A copy of the California Underground Storage Tank Regulations can be obtained <br /> from the State Water Resource Control Board 916-324-1262 or from this office <br /> for a handling fee of $2.00. <br /> d. Please check with the San Joaquin County Air Pollution Control District, <br /> Building Department and Fire District for their requirements. <br /> e. Submittal of new tank plans to this agency satisfies tank registration <br /> requirements for the State of California. <br /> f. Please allow five (5) to fifteen (15) working days for pian review. <br /> g. Field inspections associated with the plan review process should be arranged <br /> twenty-four (24) hours in advance. <br /> h. A total of three (3) inspections will be made of the tank system being installed <br /> according to the enclosed inspection record. <br /> i . Complete and submit an application to operate underground storage tank(s) . <br /> UGT 31 8/86 <br />
