Box 508 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> Subject: Soil Sample Analysis Results <br /> Project: Pacific Gas & Electric Company Facility <br /> 4040 North West Lane <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr. Denney: <br /> This report summarizes the field observations and analytical results of soil samples collected during <br /> the removal of fuel dispensers and product delivery plumbing at the above-referenced project site <br /> on November 20, 2000. <br /> AUTHORIZATION <br /> Services provided by The Twining Laboratories,Inc. (Twining)were authorized by Mr.Denney of <br /> Stockton Service Station Equipment Company,Inc.,(SSSS) in our"Authorization to Proceed"TLP <br /> 3700-0853 on November 15, 2000. <br /> OBSERVATION AND SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br /> On November 20,2000 soil samples were collected from the former locations of fuel dispensers and <br /> product delivery plumbing at project site. The soil samples recovered from beneath the fuel <br /> dispensers and former product delivery plumbing locations were collected by driving a soil sampler <br /> equipped with a stainless-steel sleeve into undisturbed soil at the bottom of a hand-augered soil <br /> boring. Soil sample locations and depths were specified by the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services(SJCPHS's)on-site representative,Ms. Letitia Briggs. Characterization soil samples were <br /> collected from the soil stockpiles soil at the project. The characterization soil samples were <br /> comprised of sub-samples collected from various locations in each stockpile and composited into <br /> one sample representing all of the stockpiles. <br /> After the soil samples were collected, the ends Of the sleeves were covered with Teflong tape and <br /> secured with plastic end caps. The sleeves were labeled and placed in a cooled ice chest for <br /> shipment to Twining's state-certified analytical laboratory.
