Feb 11 03 03: 40p TRo Y FIRE*ADMInISTRRTION 205` 31.4703 p• 3
Incident Report Tracy Fire Department
2003-3000489-000
Narratives
indicated that the material inside was a flarr►mable liquid.
Chief Mehring communicated with code enforcement and Environmental Health. It was
decided that we would plug the openings of the tank and Code Enforcement would contact
the property owner and give him the opportunity to hire a liscensed hazardous waste
contractor to remove the tank and it's contents. If he does not do so the city will hire a
contractor at the property owner's expense.
While at the scene we were also made aware of a well that was improperly dismantled. Mr
Shih assumed jurisdiction of the well issue. He borrowed a recycling bin from the
neighbors and we helped him place pieces of concrete on top of it to discourage any small
childern from accessing the hole.
End of Report
Page: 3 Printed: 02/11/2003 14:35:05
