40 hours of classroom training and 3 days of field <br /> experience will receive a certificate from the <br /> instructor. A copy of the certificate shall be <br /> available as needed. <br /> • On-site management and supervision shall receive a <br /> minimum of eight hours of additional training. <br /> • Each hazardous waste operations employee shall receive <br /> eight hours of refresher training on an annual basis, <br /> 1 as appropriate. <br /> • All workers who must wear respirators must have <br /> received respirator fit testing for the particular <br /> respirator that is worn during work. <br /> Initial On Site Training <br /> The following training sessions and information materials will be <br /> ' provided on site at the time of initial entry of the work zone. <br /> • Site Safety Plan - All person entering the site shall <br /> be informed of the contents of the site Health and <br /> Safety Plan. This site specific training shall <br /> address : <br /> - Acute and chronic effects of the toxic chemicals <br /> identified at the site, including odors and <br /> conditions likely to indicate the presence of <br /> site-specific chemicals . <br /> ' - Physical health hazards identified at the site. <br /> - Personal hygiene. <br /> - Safety equipment, the procedures required for <br /> personnel protection, and their effectiveness and <br /> limitations . <br /> - Proper use of respirators . <br /> ' - Work areas established at the site . <br /> Prohibitions in contaminated areas . <br /> ' - Change in site operations . <br /> - Medical examinations . <br /> A-13 <br /> ' MA:ENG:9262-AppA/041291 <br />
