Installation
Dual-Point Hydrostatic Sensor Installation
1. Turn Off power to the console.
2. Lower the sensor into the riser until it rests on the bottom of the reservoir(see Figure 2).Note:Refer to the
tank manufacturees instructions for setting the proper brine levels. The ideal brine solution level is
approximately halfway between the high and low water levels. With the Dual-Point Sensor resting on the
inner-tank wall, the sensor will alarm when the brine level is below 2"or when the brine level is above 12".
14"min. die.
manhole Cord grip nut/bushing
/ (vent rap not shown)
Concrete slab "a F `
or packed earth qp#5? p X99.
per NFPA 80
Riser pipe cap Seal-off
Dual-point Weatherproof 1/2" rigid
hydrostatic sensor jjuonction conduit
(to Console)
Float
Brine level
Reservoir
Double-wall
tank
seiuorsVssenep.eps
Figure 2. Dual-Point Sensor Installation(sham with plastic riser cap)
3. Riser Cap Installation
a. If you have the plastic riser cap kit
Place the cord grip bushing into either of the threaded fittings in the plastic tap and screw the cord grip
nut over the bushing. With the nut loose, push the end of the sensor cable through the cord grip. Place
the cap in the riser and snap down the cap lever to seat the gasket against the inside of the pipe.Screw the
vent cap from the kit down snugly onto the other threaded fitting of the riser cap.
b. If you have the metal riser cap and vent tube
Install the vent tube into one of the cord grips in the metal riser cap (ref.Figure 5 on page 7) and tighten
the cord grip. Loosen the other cord grip and push the sensor cable through it. Place the tap in the riser
and snap down the cap lever to seat the gasket against the inside of the pipe.
4. With the sensor still resting on the bottom of the reservoir, leave a little slack in the sensor cable and tighten
the cable cord grip nut.
5
