1
' 9.4 Access/Egress and Emergency Routes
Following the site reconnaissance and a delineation of the work area, the HSO will
t establish access and egress routes to and from the work area and emergency escape
routes. These routes may be changed by the HSO based on field conditions or changes to
the work area. The locations of these routes will be discussed with site personnel during
' the daily briefings. These briefings will also discuss safe distances from the site and
refuge locations in the event of a site emergency.
' 9.5 Site Security and Site Control
All employees arriving for work on a daily basis will sign the field logbook noting arrival
' and departure times. Visitors will also be required to sign the logbook.
The FS is designated to coordinate access, control and security on the site. Site security
will also be established by the FS according to local conditions and requirements of
PG&E. The FS will arrange for proper delineation and control boundaries on a daily
basis.
' Unauthorized personnel will not be permitted within designated areas.
' Control boundaries between the Exclusion Zone and the Contamination Reduction Zone
(CRZ) and the Support Zone will be designated as follows:
* Exclusion Zone - A radius of at least 25 feet (when feasible) from the Site Work
Area (SWA);
S * CRZ -The area between the Exclusion Zone and the Support Zone. This zone
should be located upwind from the SWA; and,
' * Support Zone -The 'clean" area located after the CRZ.
' If necessary these boundaries will be demarcated using:
* Boundary Tape or Cones for the Exclusion Zone; and,
* Boundary Tape for the CRZ.
' These zones may change during the project. Adjustments will be made by the HSO in
consultation with the FS.
1
' 15
