Does Containment Solutions have written instructions for doing the sump modification? Do they
have guidelines for testing the sump modification in order to verify that the interstitial space has
communication? If not, how will the contractor do both of these things? The letter states that
they will complete the sump modification in accordance with the manufacturer specifications.
What are the specifications? It also stated that., The installation of the new sump top will be
completed such that there will be continuous monitoring within the interstitial space between all
sensors. The double wall sump has only one sensor for the interstitial space. Now will the
contractor demonstrate that the brine from the new sump addition has communication with the
existing sump? Brine could be used to show this, if the sump has a brine rill port at the bottom.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Response: We have enclosed the applicable installation instructions provided by Containment
Solutions for the retrofit and Installation of the double wall tank sumps. it is our understanding
