DAC A 65-244"012,Deliveiry Order M. 0012
Dear Mr. Smith:
Reference to your letter dated February 26, 1996, for the above project.
a. One UST was transported off site under a hazardous waste man'cf®st, which is
included in the Site Closure Report. The UST was empty and dry, thus there was
no liquid waste generated. There was no soil disposal because excavated soils
were used as a backfill material.
b. CKY first bacldiiled and compacted the excavation on Movember 8, 1995, as
indicated in the Site Closure Report. At the direction of Mr. Bert Hikichi with the U_
S. Army Corps of Engineers, top 1° of the excavation was backfilled with crushed
rocks. Crushed rocks, determined to be an unsuitable backfill material, were
removed arid replaced with aggregate base materials on week of February 19,
1996- Final compaction of the aggregate base was not performed yet due to the
wet surface condition. C1CY will perform filial compaction and conduct compaction
test as soon as the surface condition permits.
please feel tree to contact CKY 9 you should have any questions.
Very truly yours,
5'kun
Michael DeKlotz
Project Manager
3487 :orrancv BIWL.
