SECTION F <br /> MATERIALS HANDLING PLAN <br /> F1.0 Introduction <br /> This Materials Handling Plan describes the planned program for transportation and <br /> disposal of wastes generated during the removal of containerized hazardous and/or toxic <br /> waste at Tracy Auxiliary Field No. 5, Tracy, California. These wastes will be comprised of <br /> a UST, diesel fuel, piping, appurtenances, and contaminated soil. The major contaminant <br /> of concern is diesel. <br /> F2.0 Transportation and Disposal of Tanks and Piping <br /> Erickson, Inc., Richmond, California, will transport and dispose of the tank and piping. <br /> Handling and transportation of these waste materials will be in accordance with all federal, <br /> State, and local requirements. Erickson, Inc. is a licensed hazardous waste hauler, <br /> holding EPA ID No. CAD009466392. Copies of Erickson's permits are included in the <br /> GMP. <br /> F3.0 Transportation and Disposal of Liquids <br /> • Liquids, mostly drained diesel fuel from the tank/piping and rinsate, will be pumped and <br /> hauled by Erickson as well. The liquids will be recycled by Gibson Environmental, <br /> Redwood City, California. Gibson holds a Hazardous Wastes Resource Recovery Permit, <br /> EPA ID No. CAD043260702. Copies of Gibson's permits are included in the GMP. <br /> F4.0 Transportation and Disposal of Soil <br /> Soil that is considered a designated waste will be transported by R. Bauerle Trucking. The <br /> soil will be transported to Forward Landfill in Manteca, California. Copies of Forward <br /> Landfill's permits are included in the GMP. <br /> F5.0 Hauler Routes <br /> The proposed haul route to Erickson is as follows: The truck will proceed from the site to <br /> Interstate 205, heading west to Interstate 580. It will then take Interstate 580-west to <br /> Erickson's facility located in Richmond, California. <br /> The proposed haul route to Gibson Environmental is as follows: The truck will proceed <br /> from the site to Interstate 205 and travel west to Interstate 580. It will then take Interstate <br /> 580-west, Highway 84-west, and Highway 101-north to Gibson's facility in Redwood City. <br /> F-1 <br />
