the price paid for the installation of the new EMC Console, and no additional compensation <br /> will be allowed. <br /> 4� <br /> SECTION 15 EMC (ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT CONSOLE) <br /> (Bid Item No. 1) <br /> 15 - 1 General <br /> The Contractor shall provide and install one (1) EMC (Environmental Management Console) <br /> manufactured by Gilbarco or approved equal, complete with three (3) tank level probes with <br /> corresponding modules and three (3) line leak detection kits with corresponding modules <br /> and three (3) tank risers. Tank level probes under this contract to be installed on existing <br /> three (3) tanks shall be connected to EMC. Three (3) line leak detection installed as part of <br /> this contract shall also be connected to EMC. Both the probes and the leak,detections are <br /> part of the Environmental Management or monitoring system. The installation shall be <br /> within and next to the existing fuel island with all required ducts, conduits, and power lines, <br /> to monitor the tank level and line leaks for three existing underground tanks located in the <br /> Boyd Service Center to satisfy San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> underground tank monitoring requirements. The EMC shall be installed on the second floor <br /> computer room of central garage building or other location as approved by the Engineer. A <br /> metal conduit for cable/wiring shall be installed in the building along the walls up to the <br /> computer room. Installation of ducts, conduits, and power'lines will require trenching in the <br /> existing concrete paving. All trenching will be backfilled and paved with concrete in <br /> accordance with the City requirements. Setup and start-up of EMC shall be done by the <br /> contractor through a manufacturer's approved or authorized agent. <br /> The EMC monitor shall have the following features. <br /> A. In-tank monitoring with fast 0.1 gallon/hour in-tank precision leak detection. <br /> B. Line leak detection with 0.1 gallon/hour. A line leak detector will <br /> automatically attempt to conduct a line test whenever the dispenser is shut <br /> off. In addition,,a line leak test can be started using the EMC front-panel <br /> controls or programmed to start auto line leak tests according to a <br /> predetermined schedule. r ' <br /> 1 <br /> C. Built-in printer to create automatic and on-demand inventory reports. <br /> Also, the EMC monitor shall incorporate the following front-panel features: <br /> 1. A two (2) line, twenty-four (24) character per line liquid crystal display. <br /> Z. A, twenty-four (24) button keyboard with operating and alphanumeric data <br /> entry functions for programming purposes. <br /> 3. Three (3) front panel lamps to indicate power on, warning and alarm <br /> conditions. <br /> 4. An internal audible warning and alarm indicator. <br /> S. An integral printer.with built-in take upspool ,for,inventory, sensor status, <br /> alarm, setup.and,diagnostic reports. <br /> ... DIVISION II - 5 <br />
