Stockton Promenade—N. Edison3ireet USTs& Utility Corridors • Page 9
Underground Storage Tank Removal Report June 8,2009
WKA No.7345.09
during the day of field activities. Qualitative grab groundwater samples were collected from
' each boring location to evaluate shallow groundwater conditions beneath the site.
' All sampling equipment was decontaminated with a solution of AlconoxTm and water, and rinsed
in clean, distilled water prior to collecting each sample. Upon completion of sampling activities,
each boring was backfilled with a neat cement grout-bentonite slurry, in accordance with San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department permit guidelines (Appendix E). Boring logs
are included in Appendix F.
It should be noted that further excavation and confirmation soil sampling of underground utility
corridors across the former UST area for the Stockton Promenade construction project has
recently been completed and will be reported to the RWQCB separately from this report.
'
5.0 SAMPLE ANALYSES
' Selected soil and groundwater samples were submitted with chain-of-custody documentation to
Kiff Analytical Laboratories (Kiff), Davis, California. Kiff is certified by the California
Environmental Protection Agency(Cal-EPA) for the applied test methods.
Selected soil samples were submitted for the following analyses:
Analyses UST Area Test Pits Borings
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons-as-Diesel (TPHd)and Total Petroleum X X X
Hydrocarbons-as-Motor Oil (TPHmo)using EPA Method 8015M
Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)and Total Petroleum X X X
Hydrocarbons-as-gasoline(TPHg)using EPA Method 8260B
Total Cadmium,Chromium,Lead,Nickel and Zinc(LUFT Metals) X X
using EPA Method 6010B
Semi-Volatile Organic Compounds(SVOCs)using EPA Method 8270C X
' Polychlorinated Biphenyls(PCBs)using Gas Chromatography by EPA X
Method 8082
' Tables 1 through 3 summarize the soil and grab groundwater sample analytical results. Copies
of the laboratory data sheets for soil analytical results from this assessment are included in
Attachment F.
