Jacketed Steel Tank Construction A.Body Sheet Made of 100 mil polyethylene,this material covers 3600s of the tank body. It is semi-rigid and provides excellent impact and punclure resistance. B. Steel Tank U.L. labeled steel underground storage tank which is primer coated. C.Stand-Off Mesh It is used between the steel tank and both the Body Sheet and End Caps.It's designed to create the interstitial space and its high/low profile allows 100%fluid migration. It also serves as an excellent O\ impact cushion. D. Base Cushions Located at the base of each tank are polyethylene foam cushions which are designed to protect the tank during handling and site VAI-M storage.They can be easily removed before installation. 111tiIMMM L E. Perforated Pipe This polyethylene pipe serves as reinforcement for the monitoring K tube and is perforated to allow access for any fluid to reas�+ monitoring probe,contained within. f H F. End Caps Formed of 150 mil polyethylene,they are designed to fit snugly onto each end of the tank. G.I.D. Numbers This identification label carries both the Tank Jacket number as l well as the steel tank U.L.number. Q H. Monitoring Tube Pre-formed into each End Cap is a 3"diameter tube which is rein- forced with the Perforated Pipe.Mounted at the top of the tube is a 11h"NPT bulkhead fitting to accommodate the monitoring conduit. I.Monitoring Fitting T11ere are two fittings per tank,one on each end.One fitting can be O used for attachment of the monitoring conduit and the other for A ® venting the annular space,if required. Q J.Close-Off Fitting This specially designed forged NPT steel fitting seals the Body Sheet or Saddle to the steel tank. K.Saddle This polyethylene molded saddle serves as a base for the B C' Sump/Riser. There are two sizes available: 30" diameter for 48" and 64"diameter tanks and the 36"diameter for 76",96'and 120" O F diameter tanks. L.Close-Off Skirts For fittings located outside of Sump/Risers this unique sealing skirt is clamped by the close-off fitting.It also accommodates the.ciose- O off cap to provide a completely sealed fitting. E M. Lift Lug(s) The lifting lugs are designed to be removable,whereas,the screw directly in and out of the close-off fitting to eliminate ex- c posure to the environment. N.Close-Off Cap This polyethylene cap is designed to seal unused and pluged fit- tings,It can also be cut on top to seal around 2"and 4"piping. �✓ O.Sump/Riser This optional container is designed to perform as the tank riser,asa collection sump for leaks, and as secondary containment for the submersible pump and the tank fittings.It comes with its own water tight lid.
