06/18/98 15:32 FAX 12066229629 NW PUMP EQUIP. .»+ TIME OIL Z004
06/18/98 14:10 $7109 9885 BRAVO SYSTEMS + NW PUMP EQUIP. Z 002
May 31, 1995
Mr. Sergio Bravo
S. Bravo systems, Inc.
6320 Caballero Blvd.
Buena Park, Ca. 90620-1100
Dear Sir,
The review of the Bravo dispenser containment box consisted of the
following categories:
• Engineering 5 Construction specification, SBE-01.1A
• Construction Procedures, SBC-01.2A
• welding Specification, SBW-02.1A
• Painting Specification, SBP-03AX
• Material Specification
A. Colon, Celon Specifications
B. Nitrile, U.L. Testing
Installation Specification, SBI-04.1A
See the attached Figure 1-A for the boundary of this review.
The standard Bravo box was reviewed for proper engineering design,
quality construction and for compatibility with petroleum products.
External fluids such as Sodium Hydroxide, Nitric Acid, and others
on the U.L. Table II were part of the process review.
In summary, the standard Bravo containment boxes meets and in some
cases surpasses all the requirements of the State Water Resources
Board to prevent unnecessary leaks into the environment when in
contact with any released hazardous substance.
Very little liquid (approx. 5 to 6 02. of hazardous substance or
any liquid) is needed to activate the patented float mechanism and
trip the shear valve and shut down the flow. Thus, the station
operator would know immediately when the customer can not fuel that
there is a problem that needs his attention.
The standard Bravo box would be able to withstand many dispenser
knockdowns as well as becoming operational in a shorter repair time
cycle. Your construction standards that you have in place to
maintain quality during the manufacturing process is commendable.
sincerely, QRpFESS10y9
GEOP, a(
Edward G.
