Site Safety and Health Plan <br /> UST Removal Project <br /> ABF Freight System,Inc. <br /> Manteca,California Page 23 <br /> • 7.0 FIRST AID PROCEDURES <br /> At least two persons who are currently certified in first aid and CPR by the American Red Cross <br /> or other approved agency will be onsite at all times during site operations. They will be trained <br /> in universal precautions and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as described in the <br /> Bloodborne Pathogens Standard of 29 CFR 1910.1030. These persons may perform other duties <br /> but will be immediately available to render first aid when needed. The identity of these persons <br /> will be made known to all personnel involved in this work. <br /> The SSHO (Mr. Steve Essert) of CAL INC is currently certified to administer first aid and CPR. <br /> 7.1 Emergency Equipment and First Aid Requirements <br /> The following items, as a minimum,will be maintained onsite and available for immediate use: <br /> • First aid equipment and supplies approved by the consulting physician. <br /> • Emergency-use respirators. <br /> • Fire extinguisher with a minimum rating of 20-A:120-B:C will be provided at site facilities <br /> • and in all vehicles and at any other site locations where flammable or such materials present a <br /> fire risk. <br /> • <br /> \\SERVER I\C-DRIVETROJ ECTS\3272\Plans and Reports\Site Safety I lealth Plan.doc February 10,1999 <br />
