14. Tonic Considerations: Antifreeze is toxic to humans and animals. Waste antifreeze contains heavy metals
such as lead, cadmium, and chromium in high enougb levels to potentially make it a regulated hazardous
waste, so most states strictly regulate antifreeze disposal. Antifreeze generators and state and local programs
should not dump spent antifreeze on land or discharge it into a sanitary sewer, storm drain, ditch, dry well, or
septic system; dumping antifreeze can cause serious water quality problems and might harm people, pets, or
wildlife.
15. AST secondary containment (material/design/listed) AST has integral secondary containment via cinder
block concrete berm There are 3 tanks within the berm and allowing for displacement from the other ASTs,
the capacity of secondary storage is 757 gals which is larger than the contents of the largest container within
the berm There is adequate secondary capacity to account for freeboard precipitation in the berm. There is
no valve in the berm to release water and such operations are accomplished manually.
16. Damage to AST or systems. No damage reported by Owner/Operator
17.
