Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all <br /> manifests for three years or until a copy signed off by the destination facility is received. The signed off copy shall be <br /> retained and made readily available for review for three years. If the generator did not receive a copy of the manifest <br /> with the handwritten signature of the owner or operator of the facility to which the generator's waste was submitted <br /> within 60 days of the date the waste was accepted by the initial transporter, the generator shall submit a legible copy <br /> of the missing manifest, with some indication that the generator has not received confirmation of delivery. This <br /> information shall be submitted to: <br /> DTSC Report Repository <br /> Generator Information Services Section <br /> P.O. Box 806 <br /> Sacramento, CA 95812-0806 <br /> Immediately locate a copy of the missing manifests or prepare and submit the required information to DTSC. Submit <br /> to the EHD a copy of the signed off copy of the manifests or a copy of the information submitted to DTSC. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> HSC 25160.2(b)(3) Failed to keep copies of consolidated manifesting receipts for three years. <br /> Copies of hazardous waste disposal records from October 21, 2014 to April '7, 2015 were not found on site(the onsite <br /> hazardous waste container log indicated multiple hazardous waste pickup in the noted time frame). Hazardous waste <br /> generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a consolidated <br /> manifesting procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for review. Immediately locate a copy of <br /> all manifests and receipts for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies of missing receipts to the <br /> EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class Il. <br /> CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> One drain pan with some oily liquid was stored on top of the waste antifreeze 55-gallon container located iiisiue file <br /> facility adjacent to the bay roll up door; oily liquid was present on top of this container. Several drain pans and other <br /> open containers storing oily liquid ware located on top of the four 55-gallon containers of used/waste oil stored on top <br /> of the secondary containment pallet located inside the facility. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to <br /> minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could <br /> threaten human health or the environment. Immediately empty all drain pans and clean all the free standing liquid on <br /> top of the above containers , and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and <br /> supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed.
