All facility communications or alarm systems, fire protection <br /> equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment, where required, shall be tested and maintained <br /> as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of emergency. Immediately begin this practice, submit proof of <br /> correction to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain adequate aisle space for unobstructed response to emergencies. <br /> The observed four 55-gallon containers of used/waste oil were positioned on top of the secunuary uuri ainment pallet <br /> which had some free staining oily liquid inside it . These four 55-gallon containers (located inside the shop)were <br /> located back to back against the wall with no access to the back two containers. Mr. Gamez indicated that he was <br /> already planing on changing the set up since the existing hazardous waste storage area is taking up too much <br /> space. Adequate aisle space shall be maintained to allow the unobstructed movement of personnel, fire protection, <br /> spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment to all areas of facility operation in an emergency. <br /> Immediately maintain aisle space to allow the unobstructed movement of personnel, fire protection, spill control <br /> equipment, and decontamination equipment to any area of facility operation in an emergency. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> One 55-gallon container of used antifreeze and three of the existing four 55-gallon containers of used/waste oil had an <br /> open fill ports. Two open tubs containing metal fines were noted adjacent to the metal working equipment. All <br /> hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. immediately close <br /> these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. Submit <br /> proof of correction to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 404 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to inspect hazardous waste storage areas at least weekly. <br /> Hazardous waste containers are not inspected weekly. Free staining oil was observed inside the secondary <br /> ;ontainment and on top of all of the hazardous waste containers storing used/waste oil and antifreeze. Hazardous <br /> ,vaste container storage and transfer areas shall be inspected weekly for leaking containers and for deterioration of <br /> ,ontainers and the containment system caused by corrosion and other factors.
