No Further Action Request 640 N.San Joaquin Street,Stockton,CA October 9.2002 Paae 7 5.2 SURFACE WATERS McLeod Lake, part of the San Joaquin River system, is located approximately 1,600 feet southwest of the site. The lake was identified on maps of the study area and during site reconnaissance. 5.3 SCHOOLS Three schools were identified within the study area: 1. James L. Urbani Charter Elementary School (SI in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at 640 North San Joaquin Street/326 East Park Street(the site). 2. Trinity Lutheran School (S2 in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at 444 North American Street, approximately 1,400 feet southeast of the site. 3. California State University-Stanislaus, Stockton Campus (S3 in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at 510 North Magnolia Street, approximately 1,700 feet.northeast of the site. 5.4 CHILD CARE Five childcare facilities were identified within the study area: I. Creative Child Care (CCI in Figure 7, .Appendix A) is located at 17 Poplar Street, approximately 1,300 feet northwest of the site. 2. Head Start Child Development Center (CC2 in Figure 7, Appendix .A) is located at 347 Poplar Street, approximately 700 feet north of the site. 3. First Stop Children's Center (CC3 in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at.611 North Stanislaus Street, approximately 1,500 feet northeast of the site. 4. Circle of Love Preschool (CC4 in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at 505 North Stanislaus Street, approximately 1,400 feet eastAoutheast of the site. 5. Trinity Lutheran Preschool (CCS in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at 444 American Street, approximately 1,400 feet southeast of the site. 5.5 OTHER SENSITIVE RECEPTORS d y Three other potential sensitive receptors were identified within. tl e study area: 1. Claremont Manor: Senior Community (RI in Figure 7,-Appendix A) is located at 347 East Flora J� Street, approximately 500 feet north of the site. 2. Oak Haven.Home for the Aged (R2 in .Figure 7, Appendix A) is.located at 725 East Oak Street, approximately 1,200 feet east of the site. 3. The Blind Center (R3 in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at 130 West Flora Street, approximately 2,000 feet west of the site. 5.6 UTILITIES There are at least three public water utility districts that service the Stockton area. CWSC is the water purveyor currently servicing the study area. CWSC was contacted in an effort to obtain a list of public water users. CWSC was not able to provide a list of public water users due to confidentiality. CWSC did, however, indicate that they service the study area but that they were not able to guarantee that every address is served only by CWSC. Interviews with selected residents were conducted to determine whether the neighborhoods were supplied by public or private water supply. Most of the contacted residents within the site reconnaissance area stated that they are supplied by public water systems.
