No Further Action Request <br /> 640 N.San Joaquin Street,Stockton,CA <br /> October 9.2002 <br /> Paae 7 <br /> 5.2 SURFACE WATERS <br /> McLeod Lake, part of the San Joaquin River system, is located approximately 1,600 feet southwest of the <br /> site. The lake was identified on maps of the study area and during site reconnaissance. <br /> 5.3 SCHOOLS <br /> Three schools were identified within the study area: <br /> 1. James L. Urbani Charter Elementary School (SI in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at 640 North <br /> San Joaquin Street/326 East Park Street(the site). <br /> 2. Trinity Lutheran School (S2 in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at 444 North American Street, <br /> approximately 1,400 feet southeast of the site. <br /> 3. California State University-Stanislaus, Stockton Campus (S3 in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located <br /> at 510 North Magnolia Street, approximately 1,700 feet.northeast of the site. <br /> 5.4 CHILD CARE <br /> Five childcare facilities were identified within the study area: <br /> I. Creative Child Care (CCI in Figure 7, .Appendix A) is located at 17 Poplar Street, approximately <br /> 1,300 feet northwest of the site. <br /> 2. Head Start Child Development Center (CC2 in Figure 7, Appendix .A) is located at 347 Poplar <br /> Street, approximately 700 feet north of the site. <br /> 3. First Stop Children's Center (CC3 in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at.611 North Stanislaus <br /> Street, approximately 1,500 feet northeast of the site. <br /> 4. Circle of Love Preschool (CC4 in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at 505 North Stanislaus <br /> Street, approximately 1,400 feet eastAoutheast of the site. <br /> 5. Trinity Lutheran Preschool (CCS in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at 444 American Street, <br /> approximately 1,400 feet southeast of the site. <br /> 5.5 OTHER SENSITIVE RECEPTORS <br /> d y <br /> Three other potential sensitive receptors were identified within. tl e study area: <br /> 1. Claremont Manor: Senior Community (RI in Figure 7,-Appendix A) is located at 347 East Flora <br /> J� Street, approximately 500 feet north of the site. <br /> 2. Oak Haven.Home for the Aged (R2 in .Figure 7, Appendix A) is.located at 725 East Oak Street, <br /> approximately 1,200 feet east of the site. <br /> 3. The Blind Center (R3 in Figure 7, Appendix A) is located at 130 West Flora Street, <br /> approximately 2,000 feet west of the site. <br /> 5.6 UTILITIES <br /> There are at least three public water utility districts that service the Stockton area. CWSC is the water <br /> purveyor currently servicing the study area. CWSC was contacted in an effort to obtain a list of public <br /> water users. CWSC was not able to provide a list of public water users due to confidentiality. CWSC did, <br /> however, indicate that they service the study area but that they were not able to guarantee that every <br /> address is served only by CWSC. <br /> Interviews with selected residents were conducted to determine whether the neighborhoods were supplied <br /> by public or private water supply. Most of the contacted residents within the site reconnaissance area <br /> stated that they are supplied by public water systems.
