Information from six well records pertaining to <br /> the five wells in the study area is presented below; the water wells are designated by their State of <br /> &• California Water Well Drillers Report Record Number-, <br /> r ➢ 4100 <br /> A well record for a property located at the south side of Poplar Street and the west side of San <br /> Joaquin Street (Figure 7, Appendix A) indicates that a municipal well was installed in 1954 to a <br /> total depth of 450 feet bgs, but does not indicate a numerical address for its location. The well <br /> L. was located approximately 800 feet north of the site. The well was owned by the California Water <br /> Service Company (CWSC), which provides municipal water service to the study area. Mr. Paul <br /> ` Risso of the CWSC indicated that the well was destroyed approximately 15 years ago and the <br /> associated property was sold approximately five years ago. <br /> ➢ 39-1029; 407575 <br /> Two well records for a property located at 510 Magnolia (Figure 7, Appendix A) indicate that <br /> Western Well Drilling Company installed a well for the Stockton State Hospital on May 13, 1950 <br /> to the depth of 350 feet bgs. The well was owned by the State of California. The records indicate <br /> that the well was subsequently destroyed in 1993 by Clark Well, Inc. The property is located at <br /> the corner of Magnolia Street and American Street on the California State University-Stani slau s, <br /> Stockton Campus (CSU), approximately 2,000 feet northeast of the site. The CSU maintenance <br /> mechanic for the campus property was contacted to assist in identifying the physical location of <br /> the well. The CWSC provides municipal water service to the campus property. <br /> ` 39-1092 <br /> V A well record for a property located on EI Dorado Street between Miner Avenue and Channel <br /> Street (Figure 7, Appendix A) indicates that a well was installed in 1912 by J. N. Jensen to a total <br /> w depth of 3,178 feet bgs for Western States Gas and Electric. The record identifies the well as P. <br /> G. & E. #8. The well was abandoned by R. L. Norris of Sacramento, California. The property is <br /> located approximately 1,500 feet southwest of the site. <br /> x. > 39-1040 <br /> A well record for a property located at the corner of Fremont and Madison Streets (Figure 7, <br /> x Appendix A) indicates that an irrigation well was installed in 1951 to a total depth of 215 feet <br /> w bgs. The well record indicates the well owner to be the State of California, however, neither <br /> contact information nor a numerical address for the well location was provided. The property is <br /> located approximately 2,000 feet southwest of the site. <br /> ➢ 39-1035 <br /> A well record for a property located at 919 N. Center Street(Figure 7, Appendix A) indicates that <br /> LW a domestic well was installed in 1951. to a total depth of 170 feet bgs;the original well owner was <br /> John Ghiglieri. According to Rick Clough, Facilities Manager for the Central State Credit Union <br /> (CSCU) that currently owns the property, he has never observed a well on the parcel and none of <br /> their property maps indicate the presence of a well. Rick Clough has worked for the CSCU <br /> facility for approximately 13 years.
