The City will furnish "No Parking" signs, which shall be posted by <br />the Contractor. <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for supplying, installing and <br />maintaining such fences, barriers, lights, signs and flaggers as <br />are necessary to give adequate warning at all times of any <br />dangerous conditions to be encountered. <br />All traffic control equipment shall be removed when it is no <br />longer required. <br />Upon request, the Contractor shall submit to the Engineer a sketch <br />showing the proposed signing and barricading to be used in the <br />project. <br />If it becomes necessary for the City of Lodi to replace or place <br />additional barricades in order to provide adequate safety to the <br />public, the Contractor will be charged $1.00 per barricade per day <br />or portion thereof plus the cost of placement and removal. The <br />Contractor will also be charged for replacement of damaged City <br />barricades. The Contractor shall furnish and place barricades <br />within three working days. No removal charge will be made if the <br />Contractor returns City barricades to the Municipal Service Center. <br />Full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, <br />equipment and incidentals for doing all work involved in <br />furnishing and placing barricades, warning devices, and for <br />flaggers as may be required by the Engineer shall be considered as <br />included in the price paid for the various items of work, and no <br />additional compensation will be allowed therefor. <br />6-15 EXISTING FACILITIES <br />6-15.01 Protection of Existing Facilities Protection of <br />existing facilities shall conform to all the applicable provisions <br />in Section 8-1.10 "Utility and Non -Highway Facilities" and Section <br />15 "Existing Highway Facilities" of the Standard Specifications <br />and these Special Provisions. <br />All known obstructions to the work are indicated on the plans. <br />However, the City cannot guarantee the accuracy of this <br />information. The Contractor will be held responsible for the <br />maintenance and protection of or damage to existing facilities, <br />structures, obstructions and all underground facilities shown on <br />the plans or brought to the Contractor's attention during the <br />course of the work. <br />The Contractor shall notify owner agencies for locations of <br />utilities or facilities prior to excavation. <br />The owning utility shall be immediately notified of any damage <br />which is caused by the operations of the Contractor to any <br />facility, utility or structure. At the owning utility's <br />discretion, repairs shall be made by the Contractor at the owning <br />6.5 <br />TANKF /TXTw n9m <br />
