All work shall be done in accordance with applicable codes and <br />regulations adopted by the State of California, San Joaquin Local <br />Health District, and the City of Lodi. <br />6-06 SPECIFICATIONS <br />6-06.01 General <br />Section 6-10 through 6-95 of these Specifications (Special <br />Provisions) correspond with the State of California Department of <br />Transportation Standard Specifications. Not all the sections are <br />used. Therefore, there are gaps in the numbering sequence. <br />Sections used contain either: <br />° Changes from the Standard Specifications <br />• Additions to the Standard Specifications <br />° Repetition of the Standard Specifications for clarity and/or <br />emphasis <br />6-10 DUST CONTROL <br />6-10.01 Dust Control and Watering Dust control and watering <br />shall conform to the provisions in Sections 10 "Dust Control" and <br />17 "Watering" of the Standard Specifications and these Special <br />Provisions. <br />At the request of the Contractor, water for dust control and <br />project construction will be furnished by the City of Lodi without <br />cost to the Contractor. Water is available from fire hydrants in <br />the area. The Contractor shall furnish and use City -approved <br />hydrant wrenches. <br />Necessary precautions to prevent dust nuisance shall be taken <br />during all phases of construction, on non -working days, and to <br />final acceptance of the work. <br />Payment for dust control and watering shall be considered as <br />included in the various items of work and no additional <br />compensation will be allowed therefor. <br />6-12 TRAFFIC CONTROL <br />6-12.01 Traffic Control Traffic control shall conform to <br />Section 12 "Construction Area Traffic Control Devices" of the <br />Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions. Attention <br />is particularly directed to the "MANUAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROLS FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE WORK ZONES" published by Caltrans. <br />Nothing in these Specifications to be construed as to reduce the <br />minimum standards set in said manual. <br />The Contractor will be required to keep Police, Fire, and Garage <br />offices notified of the work schedule as it affects their access. <br />6.4 <br />TANK6/TXTW.02M <br />
