WIRING METHODS: Splice branch circuit conductors #10AWG <br /> or smaller, as follows: Twist conductors together, <br /> solder and tape with rubber and friction tapes, or high- <br /> dielectric strength plastic tape, or use preinsulated <br /> spring-pressure type connectors, Scotchlok, Ideal, <br /> Wing-Nut, or equal. <br /> Branch circuit conductors shall be color-coded to match <br /> existing. <br /> Conduit systems, supports, cabinets, motor frames, etc. , <br /> shall be permanently and effectively grounded per Code. <br /> Information on plans relative to existing installation is <br /> approximate only. Minor deviations found necessary <br /> during progress of work to conform to actual locations <br /> shall be made as required. <br /> 3 . NAMEPLATES: Provide nameplates on all switches and <br /> revise panel-board directory to suit new work. <br /> H. GROUNDING: Grounding of all equipment shall be per local <br /> requirements. Ground and bond all cabinets, conduits, <br /> electric appliances, equipment, motor frames and motor bases <br /> in accordance with requirements of the National Electrical <br /> Code. Grounding connection shall be accessible for inspection <br /> and shall be made with an approved ground clamp. <br /> I. MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT: Provide starters and disconnect <br /> switches where indicated. See manufacturer's drawings. <br /> J. HAZARDOUS AREAS: Conduit system fittings and electrical <br /> equipment shall conform to NEC section 500, class 1, group D, <br /> hazardous classification. <br /> 9. 1 DISPENSER TESTS <br /> A. Dispenser meters shall be adjusted as near as possible to zero <br /> error. Advise Owner's representative of any meter that cannot <br /> be held to + or - 3-1/2 cubic inches of tolerance in a 5- <br /> gallon measure, for repair under manufacturer's warranty. <br /> Tests will be made according to methods prescribed by <br /> department of weights and measures. Cost of pump operating <br /> license shall be paid by Owner. <br /> 10. 1 AS BUILT DRAWINGS: <br /> A. The Contractor shall be required to work up a drawing or a <br /> print sizing and locating all underground lines. This drawing <br /> must be submitted to the Owner upon completion of job. <br />
