Mr. Travena's inspection reports concerned work <br /> needed to bring the City's USTs into compliance with current regulations. The purpose <br /> of this letter is a continuance to the response to the inspection reports. <br /> Two inspections reports were received. One each for 230 W. Elm Street and <br /> 1331 S. Ham Lane. The report for 230 W. Elm Street listed eight (8) items and the <br /> following are responses for Items 2, 3, 5, 7, and 8: <br /> Public Safety Building (PSB) <br /> • Item 2 - Enclosed are the monitoring equipment operability test results showing they <br /> are in good condition. <br /> • Item 3 - Enclosed are the annual product line test results showing passing condition. <br /> • Item 5 - Enclosed are the results of tank #4 integrity test showing passing condition. <br /> • Item 7 - Enclosed is a copy of the cathotic protection (CP) reports showing further <br /> results of CP testing. The tests show that the tanks at the PSB are receiving <br /> adequate protection at this time. But the standby anodes installed at the time of <br /> construction, but not hooked up, are scheduled to be hooked up on July 17'h. A final <br /> report will be issued at that time. <br /> • Item 8 - Conversations with the Emco-Wheaton Equipment representative who <br /> manufactured our current overfill protection system has noted that our system is not <br /> listed with the California Air Resource Board as an approved system, but there is still <br /> no definitive answer as to whether the system can be modified or needs to be <br /> replaced.
